Three interpreters, an Atlantic conversation
Abril Fado Atlántico, a project founded in Ferrolterra in 2007, brings together the language of fado and other musical styles from the Atlantic imagination. At Santa Emilia, it takes the form of a collaboration between three performers: Daniel Adzemian on the Portuguese guitar, Javier Moreno on the classical guitar, and Sara de Sousa on vocals.
The strings bring melody, harmony, and rhythm to a conversation in which each instrument has its own space. The repertoire blends traditional fados with other songs and pieces from the Atlantic region, while preserving the intimacy and expressiveness of a chamber music setting.

Portuguese guitar
The Portuguese guitar contributes its distinctive tone and its own melodic line. Its responses, resonances, and nuances interact with the classical guitar and the voice, highlighting each phrase of the ensemble.
Javier Moreno
Classical guitar
The classical guitar provides the harmonic foundation and the rhythm of the ensemble. Its interplay with the Portuguese guitar shapes the musical space in which the songs unfold.
