Immerse yourself in the unique experience of staying at Palacio Santa Emilia, where the past and present come together to offer you an unforgettable stay. Our boutique rooms, designed with the perfect combination of elegance and comfort, reflect the palace's rich history and contemporary sophistication. Each room is unique in its décor and charm, inviting you to enjoy an intimate and historic space while discovering the treasures of the surrounding area. Below, we present our selection of rooms, carefully designed to provide you with the best experience at Santa Emilia.
"The Authentic"
La Castiza, in the Palacio Santa Emilia, is a classic-style room that offers a harmonious balance, elegantly blending classic essence. The room houses treasures such as its award-winning silver bed, originally from Naples and made in the first decade of the 20th century, along with a sumptuous 18th-century wardrobe from the Pazo de Montenegro.
English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian furniture make up the most eclectic and sophisticated décor in the rooms at Santa Emilia, creating a distinguished and timeless atmosphere. Ideal for couples looking for an intimate and romantic space, "La Castiza" offers accommodation for two people in a refined and exquisite setting.
"The Indian Woman"
The "Indiana" room at Palacio Santa Emilia is exceptionally special, as it retains the original furniture from the time the palace was built. This solid furniture, typically Indian in style, was created by the same talented carpenter responsible for the majestic doors on the palace's noble and night floors.
Perhaps the most authentically Indian of all the rooms at Palacio Santa Emilia, the "Indiana" room offers a unique experience and a journey into the past, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the rich history and charm of this magnificent palace.
"The Elizabethan"
Immerse yourself in a period experience when you stay in the Isabelina room. Elegant and sophisticated, this room features a majestic Madrid-style bedroom set, exquisitely carved from cherry wood. The meticulousness and refinement of the carvings reflect the mastery of the artisans of the Elizabethan era, making each piece of furniture a work of art in itself.
The sumptuous and detailed décor is complemented by the highest quality fabrics that enhance the palatial atmosphere of Santa Emilia. In addition, a French balcony invites visitors to admire panoramic views of the imposing palace façade, allowing natural light to blend with the rich aesthetics of the room.
This room is not just a place to rest; it is an immersion in the history and distinction of a golden age. In the heart of the Palacio Santa Emilia, the Isabelina room promises a stay where the past and present converge to provide an incomparable experience.
"The Colonial"
The Colonial Room pays tribute to the history and legacy of the Santa Emilia Palace. Furnished with original pieces from the residence, it features an elegant colonial-style dressing table that evokes journeys and adventures in faraway lands. But the real treasure is the 18th-century wardrobe, a gem that comes from the famous Pazo de los Pardo Montenegro, located in the heart of Mondoñedo.
The walls are guardians of a very special artistic legacy. The paintings, the work of the villa's former owner, immerse us in his vision and talent. With a total of 30 works, most are located on the night floor, although they also adorn other corners of Santa Emilia, leaving a mark of his mastery in every space.
The windows, meanwhile, are the perfect frame for appreciating the majesty of the walled estate and the picturesque views of the Os Muiños neighborhood. In this room, every detail invites contemplation and a journey through time, in an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
"The Attic"
Located in the privileged attic area of the palace, the room stands out for its generous space and design. With almost 60m2 of floor space, this room has a comfortable 180 cm bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sober and modern design.
Offering more than just a place to rest, guests are given access to an exclusive common area—only shared sporadically with the owners. Although not a kitchen per se, this space of approximately 30m² has practical details such as a Nespresso coffee machine and an electric water heater. From here, you can access one of the palace's gems: a private terrace of over 20m² in the tower, offering unparalleled views.
In terms of décor, a balanced combination of rattan, with its natural freshness, and a Chippendale dressing table, which adds a subtle touch of classicism, has been chosen. Traditional details complete the atmosphere, creating an environment that is both familiar and distinguished. In short, the Ático room combines tradition and modernity with a touch of Madrid elegance.
