A Literary and Musical Encounter at Palacio Santa Emilia

We are pleased to announce an exceptional literary event to be held on August 14 at the historic Palacio Santa Emilia, formerly known as Chalet de Pepín, a place that hosted the famous Galician writer Álvaro Cunqueiro on numerous occasions.

This event, entitled "El Rescate de Cunqueiro en Ediciones 98", is a celebration of Cunqueiro's life and work, and marks the presentation of the new Spanish translations of his works, courtesy of Ediciones 98. We are honored to have the presence of Mr. Jesús Alfonso Blázquez González, author of "Unamuno y Candamo" and director of Ediciones 98, who will present these translations.

Palacio Santa Emilia, with its rich history and close connection to Cunqueiro, provides the perfect setting for this literary encounter. Cunqueiro was a frequent visitor to the property's former owner, José Armando Méndez, known as "Pepín", and it is here that he drew inspiration for some of his most memorable works.

In addition to the presentation of the translations, the event will also feature the unveiling of the largest portrait of Cunqueiro, a piece that promises to be a milestone in the celebration of his legacy.
